S.H. Zell & Sons

I've known the Zell family since I was a kid, and my father has always purchased jewelry from them. This year I bought an engagement ring for my now Fiancee and Joey worked with me through morning and night over several weeks to get it perfect. We visited their office in NYC and saw some stones to get an idea of sizing, cost, & quality. Joey was extremely knowledgeable and spared no time explaining the intricacies of diamond grades & variation. The following weeks included pictures, videos & phone calls while I was both home and traveling for work across the US and Europe in different time zones. Finally we custom designed a ring with every detail of my input being brought to life beautifully. We couldn't be happier with the service received and were never pressured to purchase from Joey just because of my father's long standing relationship. Of course, in my mind there was never another jeweler I would trust with such an important symbol of my relationship and i'm glad i went with SH Zell & Sons. While posting this I saw a review about difficulty getting the GIA Cert. Personally, I had no issues getting both the cert. and appraisal upon receipt of my ring. I had mentioned that I wanted them at the time of completion ahead of time and they were presented with the ring.

A few years back we were referred to Zell & Sons to have my wife's engagement ring done. It was great working with them. The results were exactly what we wanted and we just really enjoyed Joey and Steven. They're great people. So then we had them do her wedding ring and my wedding band. I loved my wedding band. Unfortunately, it has been lost. I will be going back to them for my replacement.

By far the best ring shopping experience my fiancé and I had. The brothers take care of you and show you a beautiful variety of stones. I love my engagement ring and appreciated the time both brothers spent with us in looking for the perfect stone that was within our budget. Highly recommend.

So far, this is the BEST place that me and my husband have come across in the jewellery business in NYC. The incredible quality and cuts of the diamond stones is above excellent, and their customer service is absolutely wonderful. We're lucky, grateful, and happy to find them. My Dimond engagement ring is from here, and my husband and I went back to buy our wedding bands rings from here as well. We recommend them (especially Steven who took care of us) to our families, friends, and everyone! I'm very picky person when it comes to choosing things and making choices, especially when it cames to the Dimond ring I dreamed to have. This place also made it so much easier for my husband to deal with since he had almost zero knowledge about diamonds and he had a specific budget for an engagement ring. Steven took care of us from the first step we talked into the place, before the engagement proposal, into the wedding, and all the way until after wedding. He is the best at everything, in explaining the history, substance, qualities, comparisons with other businesses, and things you would never know unless you're an expert in this business. He gave us a full and detailed overview of the dimond scales, shapes, qualities, market dealing and was honest on noting what is good and what is fair and what is bad. He gave us a lecture on the most fascinating and basic way to understand on dimonds and dimond rings for an hour and answered all the questions we had. All that consolation for free and without any attempts to push us towards buying from them, it was a pure consultations full of knowledge sharing and general recommendations. Something also very nice is that Steven never questioned or judged us on our knowledge level or budget or the main specifications and requests we had. He welcomed all the requests and made his best to give us what we wished for. He also treated us with the utmost respect and hospitality, and most importantly was very patient with the many specific requests and he made all our needs possible in our short notices and for the wedding bands within few days. He was always responsive and available to meet whenever we needed him for phone or in-person fellow up and requests. It is incredible how smooth, stress free, and happy we are when it came to finding and getting engagement and wedding rings.
