This store is such a hidden gem. They have an amazing assortment of vintage jewelry and I was able to find the perfect unique engagement ring with style. Alison is also an incredibly wonderful sales person making the process super easy and made me feel like I made the right choice to work with her. I would definitely purchase more jewelry with her in the future and will recommend Reverie to all of my friends.

I recommend Reverie NYC and Alison Woodward with the highest of praise. I was familiar with Alison’s work as a jewelry designer having received two of her original pieces as gifts several years ago. Recently I checked out her website and found the most stunning 1950s cocktail ring. I reached out for more details and Alison replied immediately. She answered each of my questions in detail and took additional photographs of the ring for clarification. She included even more information than I'd requested regarding the ring’s measurements, its construction, the stone settings, and sizing. Her care and attention gave me complete confidence in making such a meaningful purchase even at a distance. The payment process was easy and convenient and Alison had the ring sized and on its way to me within three days of my order! All in all, from inquiry to receiving my order, it took less than one week. I was absolutely delighted with the whole Reverie NYC experience and could not be happier with my jewelry!

I almost hate to write this because I know I’m going to give myself more competition for her pieces, but I love this shop and her owner too much to keep quiet. I had a favorite vintage jewelry store in New York that I thought couldn’t topped, but I was wrong. Alison is incredibly knowledgeable, patient (and we spent HOURS with her! LITERALLY HOURS) and clearly loves what she does. She’s curated the best variety of vintage and it was so fun just exploring her store. The quality is amazing and her prices are so, so fair. I was instantly at ease and will never visit New York without paying a visit to Reverie. Go. You won’t regret it!

I had the pleasure of visiting Reverie for the first time a couple of weekends ago -- the visit was prompted by a pair of Victorian earrings that I saw posted on Instagram. I just had to see them in person! I was blown away by the warmth and product knowledge displayed by Alison, the shop's owner. Antique jewelry shopping can be intimidating at times, especially when you're first starting out (like me). Alison was gracious with her time, addressing my many questions about the industry and the period pieces in her shop. I learned a great deal during my visit, and it intensified my appreciation for antique jewelry. The earrings that originally led me to the store weren't in the shop, so I would recommend reaching out to Alison when planning a visit, so she can make sure the piece you're interested in is there. Though in my case, it ended up working in my favor. I spotted a pair of Victorian hinged bangles c.1890, decorated in Taille D'epargne enamel. So beautiful, and so rare to find a pair. It was meant to be! It's not always convenient (or simply possible) for us to visit the shop and/or meet the owner you're buying jewelry from, so it's a treat when you're able to do it. I'm glad to have found Alison at Reverie -- the shop's period pieces range in price, so you are just about guaranteed to find something within your budget. And now I have a trusted go-to person/shop for my antique/vintage jewelry interests. I can't wait to see what new treasure I find next at Reverie.

Reverie is the best shop for vintage and antique jewelry I have ever visited in the United States! It has pieces for everyone - a stunning selection of Art Deco and turn of the century gold and platinum jewelry, gorgeous crystal relics of the roaring 1920s and 1930s, and stunning sparkly pieces from the 1940s, 1950s and 1960s. She carries a particularly incredible selection of 1920s crystal flapper necklaces and rhinestone decked jewelry! Her shop itself is a beautiful oasis of antique jewelry and accessories, expertly decorated and a pleasure to visit on any weekend excursion! You will literally step back in time to another era as you enter. Most of all, Reverie presents a curated collection in which every piece is unique and has a story, which its owner, Allison, meticulously researches and showcases. Allison is also extraordinarily knowledgeable about the history of each piece as well as the gems and materials from which they are made. She is selective as to which pieces to include in the shop, shares her knowledge and research about each piece with customers, and is super helpful with choosing gifts for someone, sizing and tailoring pieces to make them even more special and unique for customers! Her jewelry is also perfect for every occasion. I found pieces to wear to both formal affairs and everyday to work in my corporate law office. Her collection of crystal necklaces in particular are great for jazzing up a traditional corporate suit! I've found gifts for family and friends for every holiday. Reverie's pieces with gemstones, particularly diamonds, sapphires and rubies, are of the highest quality and rival any other vintage jewelry store I've visited because each piece is truly one of a kind. Allison also has a particular expertise in restoring and repurposing antique jewelry. For example, I received a locket that was originally intended for a watch chain as a gift and she helped me find the perfect matching watch chain to accompany it as a necklace, even with a matching diamond shaped slide! It now hangs beautifully on its intended chain repurposed as a necklace. Reverie also has a great collection of its own custom designed jewelry! I found great 1940s mother of pearl carved earrings which I enjoy wearing on the weekends or on vacation. The accessories are quite beautiful and unique as well with vintage compacts, decorative rhinestone hair combs and artistic glass perfume bottles. Finally, I send Reverie further kudos for maintaining an interesting Instagram and being very responsive and flexible with customers online. I subscribe to Reverie's Instagram and have learned so much from it. Her posts are a great preview to the shop and collection. In short, everything about Reverie shines and sparkles very nicely!
